Finally bought Paper whites , which will flower in 6 weeks indoors for Christmas, the scent is to die for. Also decided on Purple and White (White dream &Negrita mix)tulups for spring and after last years visit to Altamont Gardens in Carlow, where I made a mental note to plant lots of Leucojum aestivium. Still have to plant Alliums, want lots of them for next summer, get them into the ground now. So on your bikes to the garden centres.

Great Idea for some-one who wants a gift for life.

Had a great visit to Kilquade to view Autumn Colour.

A bit late this year. I suppose there has to be a down side to our warm Autumn. Class visit really great. Had a look at their Bulbs for sale in the Garden Shop in Kilquade. Terrific selection. Get those Alliums in before they are gone!!

Only 2 more classes in this session.

Classes for Spring: Monday, Wednesday or Friday, commencing 26 January

Decided to Harvest the rest of my Potatoes today.

Not a great crop, though where I planted them not ideal either.

Very little water and rain!!

Well, at least I got some. Mulching for next year will be really important.

I mulched my Strawberries with Grulch and I was thrilled with the result.

After experiencing so many wet summers, I relaxed. Now I have suffered the

consequences. Autumn preparation is the key.
