After much deliberation, I finally, last March, got my chicken coop and two chickens. Here in Dalkey Garden School we are surrounded with foxes. Lucie Loo (our dog) had a fantastic chase with one a couple of weeks ago. So far, our chickens have been safe and laying!! The added life they bring to the garden and mess is worth it all. I added a third chicken this summer so I have 3 eggs every day.
