Roy Lancaster 

Truly a horticultural national treasure, Lancaster is loved and admired by thousands of gardeners for the depth and breadth of his knowledge of plants, borne of many foreign expeditions and a lifetime in horticulture, all beguilingly wrapped up with his authentic geniality. Lancaster has been outspoken in his advocacy of shrubs in recent decades, and his is a voice which will always be attended to with respect and affection.

John Anderson.

Responsibility for 120ha of gardens across the Windsor Estate, including The Savill Garden and The Valley Gardens, as well as the private garden at Frogmore House.Anderson comes to the role from Exbury Gardens, within the New Forest National Park. He has been head gardener of the 80ha estate since 2005.  He studied at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin, and has held the position of head gardener at both Inverewe and Mount Usher Gardens.

Paul Smith       Crug Plants,Whales

Originally run as a beef farm, but ever since its transition to a nursery in 1991, Crûg has become a Mecca for extraordinary plants. Initially originating from their own breeding programme, the emphasis has shifted to introducing new and wondrous plants from our annual sorties to remote corners of the globe.

Joe Swift

A regular presenter and designer on the BBC’s Gardeners’ World, co-presenter on the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show, Gardeners’ World Live, Hampton Court, RHS Tatton Park Flower Show, BBC’s Small Town Gardens, and design judge on BBC’s Gardener of the Year. He has been a presenter/designer on Take 3 Gardeners (with Cleve West and Ann-Marie Powell).He is a garden designer, and has been involved in BBC2’s Gardeners’ World since 1998. He is co-founder and Design Director of Modular Garden – a garden design and build company.Joe has designed many gardens on TV, including one for Comic Relief, many for Gardeners’ World. including the Bournville Garden, The 40-year garden, and Alan Titchmarsh’s ‘How to be a Gardener’ series.
